In my National Day Rally speech last year, I mentioned Sam Kang Li, a photographer who went around taking pictures of all his neighbours in his HDB block in Tampines, to strengthen the bonds between them. He has now completed his project, and is holding an exhibition of 37 of the photos at his void deck today. Congratulations, Kang Li!
I hope other Singaporeans come up with similarly creative ideas, to build friendship and community among ourselves.
